STACK takes a trip to LV-426 on a bug hunt for some xenomorphs. Quotes are abound as the greatest sequel ever made gets the STACK treatment. Jim tries to keep a lid on his language and trials a different catchphrase. A young Jon sets out to sneak a recording of Aliens and ends up with a romantic film while Jim gets confused by VHS covers. The special edition is picked over as to whether it is an improvement over the “standard” edition. It’s agreed that as soon as the marines come on screen the film leaps to being one of the greatest films ever committed to celluloid. The STACK guys show just how far their geekdom reaches when it comes to Aliens. James Cameron is commended for making the film his won while remaining true to the first film. The subtleties of the film are mulled, including the ideas of family for both humans and aliens. Jon feels an affinity with Hudson and Jim sympathises with the aliens. The physiology of a xenomorph is puzzled over. Ripley becomes a real heroine through the use of some gaffa tape, 2 guns and some grenades. The Aliens HR dept has to take action over Steve the alien’s work ethic. Ripley defeats the Alien queen and physics in one go, after that it’s game over, man, game over!
